Health and Nutrition

This program is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of pregnant women and young children in our community. In partnership with public hospitals and dispensaries, we currently serve expectant mothers and children at Nyegezi and Shadi dispensaries in Luchelele Ward, Mwanza.

Our program focuses on providing vital health and nutrition education, fortified maize flour, early stimulation techniques, and resources that empower mothers and fathers to foster healthy development for their unborn babies and young children.

We facilitate regular health check-ups for pregnant women and young children and support for nutritious meals ensure every meal, for every mother and child, contains lifesaving nutrients.

Our regular health check-ups for young children, ensuring they receive essential medical support, monitor growth and development but also provide vital health education. We work alongside healthcare professionals to identify and address health concerns early on, enabling mothers and their children to thrive.

Our nutrition project also promote school feeding at partnering preschools in low-income communities. By providing nutritious meals during school hours, we ensure that young learners receive the sustenance they need to concentrate, perform well, and thrive academically. This initiative not only alleviates food insecurity but also fosters a routine of healthy eating from an early age.
